Researcher
With a background in agricultural science and landscape ecology, I am driven by a passion for understanding how complex natural ecosystems intersect with and respond to human activities. This interest has led me to investigate sustainability-oriented solutions in agriculture and silviculture with a focus on agroforestry as a bridge between the two.
Through my PhD research with the temp-2-stress project, I get to explore spatio-temporal heat and drought stress dynamics in Central European forest ecosystems. I employ ground-validated remote sensing methods, including thermal and multispectral imaging via drones and satellite technology. Through this work I aim to contribute to broadening our understanding of how species composition and human interventions affect forest health in the face of climate change.
