My research at the Institute focuses on agroforestry and exploring pathways to enhance its adoption in Europe, with a particular emphasis on Germany. I am currently involved in the ReForest project, where I apply holistic decision analysis to model various agroforestry systems across Europe.
My work in the project aims to predict long-term outcomes by integrating both tangible and intangible factors, utilizing practitioner and expert knowledge through probabilistic simulations. Beyond economic aspects, I also examine the non-monetary benefits of agroforestry, including ecosystem services, biodiversity conservation, and social value.

Additionally, I am particularly interested in understanding the motivations behind agroforestry adoption, as well as the barriers that hinder its widespread implementation and how to scale it.
