Dr. Jan Ellenberger
Researcher
I am a recent PhD in agricultural sciences and have spent the past four years investigating sensor-based phenotyping methods on tomato and other crops. In the meantime, my interests and knowledge have broadened: I am gradually gaining an understanding of probabilistic decision analysis and am looking at how this can be useful in the context of phenotyping, but also agroforestry.
In addition to scientific work, I am the program manager of the international master’s program “Agricultural research management in the tropics and subtropics”. Here, I take care of the organizational part of the program as well as the most diverse questions and problems of the students from all over the world.
